CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Captain Merumeru was a Wookiee chieftain that led a group of Wookiee warriors into battle against the Separatists on Kashyyyk. Leading the charge with a roar, he fought valiantly on the beaches at the battle of Kachirho City alongside his Wookiees and Clone Soldiers of the Republic in the hours leading up to Order 66. source

Required Details:

Body Suit

Required Details:

  1. Complete hair suit using natural or synthetic fibers, either tied or using National Fiber Technology Hair. No fun fur or modified Rubies Supreme Edition Chewbacca suits.
  2. Hair is primarily dark brown with blonde patches on the chest, stomach, shoulders, back, back of calves, and front of thighs.
  3. Hair must average at least 6″ / 15 cm or longer, but 8-10 inch / 20-26 cm long hair is preferred.
  4. Complete coverage is required; no bald spots or exposed skin/undersuit.
  5. Arm length must be proportionate to that of the overall body look. No T-REX Arms.

Mask

Required Details:

  1. Mask hair must match the suit.
  2. The mask must completely cover the head and neck, without completely obscuring the shape of the shoulders.
  3. The eyes, a smooth black nose, and a large jaw/muzzle must all be clearly visible.
  4. The bridge of the nose, forehead, top of the head, and back of the head must be dark brown with the rest being blonde.
  5. There are seven dreadlocks present: four in the front, two blonde, two dark brown, and three dark brown in the back, all adorned with silver, cylindrical beads.
  6. A slight moustache feature s also present.
  7. The mouth must have a slight frown when closed.
  8. The mask hair must be smooth and well groomed, not bushy, so that the mask’s shape and structure are clear.
  9. Static masks must not be frozen in an opened position. All static mouths must be fully closed.
  10. Eye makeup (shades of black or brown) must be worn around the eyes and completely cover any exposed skin.

Optional Details:

  1. Although a functioning jaw and/or lip snarl is not required, the skin and lips of any mechanical masks must appear as one piece, rather than a separated jaw and face. This refers only to the mask’s outward appearance, not the underskull. Costumers should be aware that mechanical jaws and lips are complex projects requiring purpose-built components using special materials. They cannot simply be added to an existing latex rubber mask. Consult the costuming resources and fellow Wookiee costumers for advice on this project.

Hands

Required Details:

  1. Dark brown, gray, or black gloves are to be worn.
  2. There must be enough overlap between the gloves and the wrists of the hair suit that no skin is exposed.
  3. Gloves may be made of leather, vinyl, cloth, or rubber.

Optional Details:

  1. Claws/nails are encouraged, but not required.

Toes

Required Details:

  1. Feet must be completely covered with hair except for the bottom and the toes.
  2. Feet are either brown or black with black toenails
  3. Feet must have 5 toes with visible claws/toenails and are symmetrical right and left

Additional Images:

Armour

Required Details:

  1. Dark brown leather or faux leather harness with a Y-shaped, a V-shaped back, and a belt around the waist.
  2. The strap must be approximately 3 inches wide with a narrow center strap, with large metallic boxes and small metallic boxes spaced evenly along the straps with the narrow center strap going over the boxes.
  3. The boxes have edge detailing.
  4. Decorative buckles are present on the fork in the front “Y”, at the base of the “Y” where it connects with the belt, and along the back where it connects to the belt.
  5. Decorated shoulder armor with three plates must be worn.
  6. Optional forearm shield with similar decoration as the shoulder armor.

Helmet

Required Details:

  1. Merumeru may also wear a scaled helmet as seen in ROTS battle scenes.
  2. Light gold in color with a solid Mohawk running down the center
