CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Obi-Wan Kenobi was born in 57 BBY, the first son of a moderately wealthy family, and was taken to Coruscant to begin his Jedi training shortly thereafter. His homeworld was Stewjon, from which Kenobi had vague, pleasant memories of playing with his brother, Owen, in a green, grassy area. It is recorded that Kenobi might have occasionally visited Owen and the rest of the Kenobi family later in his life. (Source: Star War Databank)

Required Items

Hair and face:

Required Details:
1. Hair or wig styled to match references, auburn or brown in color recommended.
2. Hair is parted on the left side and has a comb-over styled fringe. It is nape-length in the back.
3. Full face beard and mustache, in the same color as the hair/wig cut and styled to match references.
4. Beard is neatly trimmed with harsh angles.
5. Naturally occurring hair colors only.
Optional Details:
1. Blue contact lenses recommended but not required.
2. If a wig or hairpiece is used, it must be high quality and look like real hair. If the hair is a wig, the wearer’s natural hair must not show. If the beard is a hairpiece or prosthetic edges must be blended.

Undershirt:

Required Details:
1. Skin-tight black undershirt.
2. Sleeves are arm length and disappear into the gloves. No skin is visible.
3. Collar of the shirt does not show above the chest armor collar.

Outer Tunic:

Required Details:
1. Outer tunic is a light tan or beige in color.
2. Outer tunic is made from a material that has woven texture (i.e. linen, cotton gauze, etc.).
3. The outer tunic is a vest sleeveless style that ends just above the wearer’s knees and does not cover the top of the boots.
4. In the front of the outer tunic, the front is done in a V neckline that shows the undershirt, the neckline closes just above the belt.
5. The sides of the outer tunic are open, allowing the under tunic to show, the side seams close just above the belt.
6. The top portion of the outer tunic blouses slightly where it tucks into the belt.
7. A few inches below the belt, proportional to the wearer, the front splits open again allowing the under tunic to show at a rest position.
8. The front of the tunic is longer than the sides with the center front split making a sharp angle.
9. The bottom hem is a smooth transition from the side seams to the center front split.
10. The back of the outer tunic has a smooth straight across hem.

Tabard:

Required Details:
1. Tabard is made from the same material and same color as the outer tunic.
2. Tabard is a slightly elongated trapezoid shape that starts under the wearer’s belt and ends approximately 1.5 – 2.5 inches /4 – 6 cm past the hem of the outer tunic, proportional to the wearer.
3. Tabard is wider at the bottom than at the top. At the top it`s approximately 1 inch / 2.5 cm wider than the belt buckle, the tabard is centrally aligned with the belt buckle. At the bottom it is approximately 3 inches / 7 cm wider than the top.
4. The hem of the tabard is straight across the bottom.

Required Details:
1. Obi is made from the same material as the outer tunic.
2. Obi is dark brown in color, closely matching the color of the belt.
3. The Obi extends past the top and bottom edges of the belt no more than 1 inch / 2.5 cm on the top and no more than 1 inch / 2.5 cm on the bottom.

 

Belt:

Required Details:
1. Belt is made of a brown leather or leather-like material.
2. Belt is made with a thinner strip centered on the wider strip and a silver “bow” shaped buckle detail in the center front of the belt.
3. Wider belt is approximately 2.5 inches / 6 cm wide and the secondary thinner belt is approximately 1 inch / 2.5 cm wide.
4. Belt must be proportionate to wearer.
5. Belt closure in the back is allowed and must be covered by a belt closure cover.
6. Belt Accessory Order Placement (Centre front to the right): belt buckle, pouch, belt closure cover, pouch and covertec clip.

 

Pouches:

Required Details:
1. Two (2) pouches in a slightly lighter brown than the belt. They’re made from the same leather or leather-like material as the belt.
2. Plain tall pouches that have no detailing and rectangular in shape. Pouch flap is curved and ends at half way of the pouch.
3. Pouches rest at the front side, one on each side of the belt.
4. The pouches attach at the smaller center strip of material on the main belt and are long enough to go past the belt by approximately 1 to 1.5 inches / 2.5 – 4 cm being proportional to the wearer.
5. No visible buttons or closures on pouches.

 

Covertec Clip:

1. There is a covertec clip or similar present on the belt on the left side of the belt.
2. Covertec can be either dark grey or black in color.

 

Gloves:

Required Details:
1. Black gloves that fit the wearer’s hands snugly or skin tight.
2. Gloves are made out of leather or leather-like material.
3. Gloves tuck into the gauntlets.
4. No skin visible.

 

Armor:
Note: The Rebel Legion does not accept EVA foam armor. If armor has EVA foam as a component, it must be finished with fiberglass or other applied method, so it does not look like EVA foam, and has longevity of wear.

Collar/Chest Armor:

Required Details:
1. Chest armor is close fitting to the collar of the wearer but not skin tight.
2. Chest armor has a collar that fits closely around the wearer’s neck and comes up on the wearer’s neck.
3. Chest armor extends to mid-sternum on the front and mid-back on the back.
4. Chest armor front is made up of a total of seven (7) segmented pieces.
5. Armor consists of 3 raised segments on either side of the wearer’s neck.
6. There is 1 indented segment at the center of the wearer’s chest.
7. Backside of the chest armor is made up of a total of seven (7) pieces.
8. Backside of the center segment makes an “I” shape matching references.
9. End segments closest to the shoulder armor stay flush with the wearer’s natural shoulder.

Shoulder Armor:

Required Details:
1. Armor is symmetrical on both sides and sits on the upper bicep of the wearer’s arm.
2. Armour is dome-shaped and completely covers the shoulder joint as it is curves to the shoulder. Resembles an upside down egg with the top being more rounded compared to the bottom that has a curved point.
Shoulder armor does not touch or cross the collar/chest armor at a rest position.
3. Left shoulder has the Jedi Order symbol present in dark red centered in position, symbol is weathered to match the rest of the armor.
4. The shoulder armor rests over the bicep armor slightly.

Bicep Armor:

Required Details:
1. Armor is cylindrical in shape and fits closely to the wearer’s bicep.
2. Bicep Armor is seamless, no visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown.
3. Armor has a notch present on the backside that allows the elbow armor to rest inside.

Hand plates:

Required Details:
1. On the back of each glove there is a hand plate that extend from the first row of knuckles to just before the wrist. It should not cover the thumb knuckles or go past the back of the hand on the outside edge.
2. Hand plate is trapezoidal in shape with the side that is line with the knuckles longer than the opposite side that is in line with the wrist. Hand plate must be slightly curved to the back of the hand.
3. The other two (2) sides have a slight outwards curve.
4. Weathering on the hand plates consists of light grey scratch lines where the armour has been worn and damaged.

Gauntlets:

Required Details:
1. Armor is cylindrical in shape and is fitted closely to the wearer’s forearm.
2. Armor is seamless on the outside edge.
3. Due to the shape of the armor a butted seam is allowed on the inside edge.
4. Elbow plate is integrated into the forearm. Consists of three (3) shapes the first base section is cylindrical in shape, the second section is half a cylinder in shape and the third section is rectangular in shape. The base section is narrower than the second and third sections.The upper most section must be able to slot into the corresponding slot in the bicep armor.
Optional Details:
1. Jedi style compad is present on the left forearm, closer to the wrist end.
2. Compad has a larger donut button is closest to the wrist and painted a light yellow/gold, the smaller button is painted green.

Shin Armor:

Required Details:
1. Phase I (1/one) animated clone trooper shin armor is allowed.
2. Shin armor is cylindrical in shape and should be formed closely to the wearer’s leg. It extends from just below the knee to the ankle.
3. No visible gaps between the shin, knee and boots.
4. Shins have an integrated knee cap.
5. Knee cap central section is an irregular dodecagon star type shape that is connected to a section that is cylindrical in shape.
6. The central section wraps around the front of the knee and extends approximately 1 inch / 2.5 cm above the top of the knee.
7. Outside edge is seamless, no visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown.
8. Due to the shape of the armor, a butted seam on the inside edge is allowed.

Pants/Leggings:

1. Skin tight black pants or leggings.
2. Waistband is not visible.
3. Pants tuck into boots.
4. Pants are opaque, not sheer or see through.

 

Boots:

1. White flat sole, and square toed boots that cover the wearers ankles.
2. Boots have an armor cap present under the shin armor that wraps around the wearer’s ankle on the top side.

 

Lightsaber:

Required Details:
1. Obi-Wan Kenobi Hero lightsaber hilt (ROTS).
2. Nickel colored plating.
3. Control box in the center of the hilt with a gold button.
4. Covertec wheel at the pommel end of hilt, black or dark gray in color. Positioned at a 90 degree angle from the control box.
5. Black handgrip sections positioned on either side of the control box, one above is longer than the one below. Ridges are horizontal.
6. Narrow neck between handgrip and emitter, lower part is gold and upper part is copper in color.
7. Pommel is round with squared details.
8. Emitter is round with a raised ridge.
9. The lightsaber may be a static prop (hilt-only).
10. No toy sabers, no Ultimate FX short saber.
Optional Details:
1. Attached blade(s), LED lights, and sound effects, are allowed but not required.
2. If bladed, must be blue.

Optional Items

Cloak:

Required Details:
1. Dark Brown in color.
2. Cloak should be made of wool or wool-like material.
3. No sleeves and no visible method of securing cloak in place.
4. Hood is rounded in shape.
5. Hood should reach to the bottom of shoulder blades and not cover shoulders when down.
6. Hood is smaller in size and depth compared to movie equivalent.
7. Hood should frame face when hood is up.
8. Cloak should end at bottom of the shin in length and be no more than approximately 6 inches / 15 cm off the ground.
9. Must be proportionate to wearer and match references.
