REQUIRED ITEMS

Outer Tunic

High Republic Jedi (Mission Attire)

Required Details:

  1. Outer tunic is made of a medium to heavy weight fabric that is medium to dark brown, gray-brown, or medium gray to black in color. Fabric is matte or has a slight sheen. Material is a woven fabric, leather, or leather-like material.
  2. Outer tunic may be one of two styles: kimono-style or vest style.
    • Kimono style:
      • Kimono style outer tunics close in front with an angled wrap collar from one side of the neck towards the opposite hip. This style of tunic either crosses over the chest or angles down to meet above the belt. The combined outer tunic and inner tunic(s), if present, must completely cover the torso up to the base of the neck.
      • Kimono style outer tunics may include a kimono-style collar on the outer tunic. Kimono-style collar is made of the same material as the garment it is attached to and is roughly 1”-2” / 2.5-5 cm wide, proportional to the costumer. This collar wraps around the neck and overlaps in a neat V below the costumer’s neck and wraps across the chest at an angle.

      • Vest style tunics also include a standing collar. The standing collar may be stiff or slouchy (like a turtleneck). Stiff collars either open slightly in the center front or have a hidden closure. There may be a narrow V or keyhole slit below the collar to assist in getting the collar over the head. • Sleeveless tunics either flare out at least 1” (2.5 cm) beyond the outer edge of the shoulder or include 1-2 layered capped sleeves. Capped sleeves are either rounded or come to a central point on the side. Either style is stiff and holds its shape.
    • Long sleeves on tunics are wrist-length and straight to slightly belled and moderately wide. They may either tuck into bracers (see below) at the forearm or hang over the bracers to wrist length. Long sleeves, when present, must be medium to dark brown, regardless of the color of the tunic over the chest.

Optional Details:

  1. The outer tunic may have open side slits below the belt.
  2. The outer tunic may have gold trim around some or all edges, as well as on the collar seam.
