CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Leia Organa Solo (born Leia Amidala Skywalker) was, at various stages of her life, a politician, revolutionary, and Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order. The daughter of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo, Leia was the younger twin sister of Luke Skywalker, and, shortly after her birth, she became the adopted daughter of Bail Organa and Queen Breha of Alderaan, making her a Princess of Alderaan. An accomplished Senator, Leia Organa was most famous for her strong leadership during the Galactic Civil War and other subsequent galactic conflicts, making her one of the galaxy’s greatest heroes. REQUIRED ITEMS:
[box]1. Jumpsuit:a. White jumpsuit in a non-shiny fabric with an upper front yoke seam with flat-felled double top-stitched seam.
b. Center back seam.
c. Back yoke seam, contoured to a slight V-shape, flat-felled with topstitching.
d. Standing collar approximately 2″ / 5 cm tall of two horizontal pieces, padded with piping trim around the collar edge and at the two-piece seam.
e. Side front and side back bodice sections above the waist have a rounded and contoured diagonal quilted zig-zag design with piping trim in the princess seams.
f. Contoured pill-shaped padded patches on the upper and lower arms with a rounded and contoured diagonal quilted zig-zag design; patches should be proportional to the sleeves. Upper arm patch should start just after the sleeve seam and extend to mid bicep. Lower arm patch should start under the elbow and extend to 1-2″ / 2.5-5 cm from the end of the sleeve.
g. Larger contoured pill-shaped padded patches on the front thighs with a rounded and contoured diagonal quilted zig-zag design; patches should be proportionate to upper pant legs. Pant patches should start 3-4″ / 7.5-10 cm up from bottom of zipper placket and end 2/3 of the way down the thigh.
h. Sleeves end at the wrists and pant legs end just below the ankle line with top-stitching approximately 1.2″ / 3 cm from the hem.
i. Center front zipper covered by a topstitched placket made from a separate piece of fabric sewn to the right side and bottom of the zipper. Placket goes all the way down to the crotch.
j. Topstitching at the wrists and hems. There should be three lines of top stitching 1/2″ / 12-13 mm apart at elbow of jumpsuit.
k. Waist-length, top-stitched matching belt, 2” / 5 cm wide, closed with a single large pants hook and eye. For Hoth version the belt can close in the back under the vest or in the front, for the Bespin version the belt should close in the front.
l. Two narrow belt loops/carriages, one attached to each side seam.
m. A padded jumpsuit is preferred, but not required.[/box] [box]2. Boots:
a. White, non-shiny leather or vinyl boots with a 1” to 2” / 2.5 cm – 5 cm heel. (2” / 5 cm recommended).
b. Worn tucked underneath the jumpsuit.[/box] [box]3. Hair:
a. Hair is pulled back to the crown of the head and into a twisted bun.
b. Descending from the under the bun are two looped braids. These braids should be full and thick and reach down to the base of the neck.
c. The side hairs over the ears should be loose and curly.
d. Naturally occurring hair colors only; no bangs. Brown hair recommended. If a wig or hair pieces are used, they should be of high quality and appear like real hair.[/box]
