CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Maz Kanata is more than a thousand years old, a diminutive being with vast experience at surviving in the underworld. From her castle on Takodana, Maz has seen galactic powers rise and fall and felt the Force ebb and flow, seeking an elusive balance between darkness and light. She has given many a young smuggler a start by offering credits, equipment or connections, and helped many an old friend rediscover a lost path.

Headgear

Required Details:
1. The base of the headpiece is a circular shape that goes around the head. The base is made of a grayish-dark blue canvas material that is worn-looking. Two round ear flaps cover the ears and house the ear-cap ends of the goggles.
2. The soft piece (dome) of the cap is dark charcoal gray in color and is made of many tapered rectangular sections connected to a central circle. The center has horizontal seams or quilting lines and a small silver button to the lower left side of the circle. The button has two vertical lines and one horizontal line.
3. Attached to the headpiece are two circular goggles, attached to the headpiece via two horizontal bars attached to the ear caps. Goggles are worn silver in color.
4. The center of the ear caps has two lines that are cut out on the bottom half. The top line cut out is around an inch (2.5 cm) in length and the bottom line cut out is around 3/4 inch (2 cm) in length.
Optional Details:
1. The base may have the appearance of being painted canvas/wax cloth.
2. The base has an additional button on the lower left behind the ear cap.
3. The soft piece of the cap is made of 16-18 sections.
4. The center has 4 horizontal lines (5 sections).

Face

Required Details:
1. Face appears wide and round with aged/wrinkled, orange-tinted skin.
2. Skin also has age spots.
3. The eyes are small humanoid eyes set in wide concave sockets.
4. The nose consists of two small slits.
5. Cheekbones are pronounced and the mouth appears lip-less, with the “lip” area matching the surrounding area in tone.
6. Chin slightly points out.
Note: Either a mask or facial prosthetics may be used to achieve the above described look.

Vest

Required Details:
1. Padded, well worn, gray vest made of a matte medium to light-weight fabric.
2. Vest ends right above the belt.
3. Has vertical quilted ribs.
4. Back yoke has quilted angled ribs going inward to connect at the central “V” rib with a horizontal seam across the back shoulders.
5. Underneath the horizontal seam across the back are evenly spaced vertical quilted ribs.
6. Thick piping around the edge of neck and arm holes with minimal visible seams.
7. Small gray circle with surrounding piping on the front left of the vest at the bottom corner.

Pants

Required Details:
1. The pants are baggy in appearance, with a high waist.
2. Pants are wine to maroon red in color and made of suede or similar fabric. Pants must look worn.
3. Three belt loops: two in the front on each side of the belt buckle, and one in the back on the left side.
4. The front two belt loops have small silver D-rings attached to the bottom of the loop, from which the brown 1/4 inch (6 mm) leather or leather-like straps holding the Beckon call transmitter are attached. The Beckon call transmitter is rectangular in shape with a length of around 3 inches (8 cm) and a width of around 1 inch (2.5 cm). On the front of the transmitter are four vertically aligned indents. Three rectangular-shaped indents and a square indent that was aligned on the left side.
5. Three “keys” (two silver, one gold) is attached to the left front belt loop, attached with a silver-looking cable lock. Keys are rectangular in shape and are around 2 inches (5 cm) in length. Width varies with the two silver keys have a width of around 1/4 inches (6 mm) and 1/2 inches (1 cm). The gold key has a width of around 2/3 inches (1.5 cm). The thinner silver and gold keys have holes through the bottom and the thicker silver key has two line holes (the left one set higher than the right).

Required Details:
1. Leather or leather-like belt that is light warm brown (camel to buckskin) in color. Belt is around 2 inches (5 cm) in width.
2. The belt has three small pouches attached (one in the front, two in the back). These pouches are made of the same material as the belt. The pouches are around 2 1/2 inches (6 cm) in length and around 1 inch (2.5 cm) in width. Pouches have rounded corners and flaps that go down 1/3 down the front.
3. The belt has a flat saddle pouch on the right hip, attached to the belt via loops. The pouch is made of the same material as the belt. Pouch connects to the belt with two 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide leather loops. The pouch has an elongated pentagon shape with a square cutout on the top center. Pouch is around 4 inches (10 cm) in length and around 3 inches (8 cm) in width. The square cutout is around 2 inches (5 cm) by 2 inches (5 cm).
4. The rectangle belt buckle is matte silver in color, and has the correct [ O-\-‘ ] pattern engraved. Buckle is around 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) in width and 2 1/2-3 inches (6-8 cm) in length.
Optional Details:
1. Belt has an end tip on the wearer’s left side of the buckle with one punch hole. On the wearer’s right side are two more punch holes.

Boots

Required Details:
1. The boots are matte dark brown leather or leather-like and well worn.
2. There are no visible zippers or laces.
3. The boots are covered with horizontally striped multi-colored knit socks with fringe at the top. Socks uses a lot of dule blues, yellows, oranges, purples, tans, and browns. Socks go up to the knees.
Necklace

1. There are thirteen bracelets total, seven on the right hand and six on the left.
— On the right hand, from top to bottom, gold bracelet with silver weaving around the gold band, gold bracelet with a convex shape and vertical lines going around the shape, a gold disc shaped bracelet, a three silver bracelets oval silver shapes vertically aligned, and a thinner silver bracelet.
— On the left hand, from top to bottom: silver bracelet with a convex hexagon that has center vertical and horizonal bend lines, golden bracelet that is made of several thinner bracelets that are attached together, a golden bracelet made of a thin 1 inch (2.5 cm) in width sheet that is folded over, two thin silver bracelets, and thin gold bracelet.
2. There are four finger rings: three on the left hand (index, middle, and ring finger) and one on the right (index finger).
— On the right hand, gold ring with small circular indent and line around the center.

3. Color of hands matches facial color, and has the appearance of being old and wrinkled.
