CHARACTER DISCRIPTION:
New Republic Fleet Troopers were the soldiers of the New Republics Defense Force. By 9 ABY, New Republic soldiers were responsible for overseeing prisoner transportation aboard New Republic Correctional Transports, guarded by Security Droids. Twenty-four years after the Battle of Endor, they were used to guard the New Republic Senatorial Complex on Hosnian Prime.

Required Details
1. Accurate helmet based on US Navy MKII Deck Talker Helmet.
2. Neck shield.
– The neck shield is attached to the dome using two (2) screws or rivets at the top of the helmet.
– Neck shield is slightly arrowhead in shape and curved to the contours of the dome.
– Neck shield can be oriented to point from straight back to about 60 degrees down.
3. Combox is located on left side of helmet.
– Raised round detail on the side of the combox.
– Two (2) Raised Bumps – above a round detail, near top of combox.
– Four (4) Vertical Lines – right of the round white button which run almost the entire height of the comlink face.
4. Black chin strap with white chin cup.
5. White visor, with a black, or smoke-colored secondary visor attached to the sides of the dome with two (2) screws or rivets.
– White visor has a black stripe on its bottom edge.
Optional details:
1. Antenna, made of metal and approximately ⅛ to 3/16 inches (3 – 4.5 mm) in diameter and approximately 6 to 8 inches (15 – 20 cm) long – positioned at top rear of combox.

Tunic

Required Details
1. Fabric is a medium-weight, blue colored suiting material matching the trousers. Cavallerie Twill or a Gabardine style weave is most accurate.
2. Tunic is double-breasted with a left-over-right closure on the tapered yoke.
3. Yoke comes up across the shoulder to the top shoulder seam.
4. The standing collar has square corners, is between 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) to 2 inches (5 cm) tall, and stands open in the center, exposing the wearers skin.
5. Collar features 6 topstitched lines going all the way around.
6. Tunic has long sleeves which are without decoration, cuffs or buttons.
7. Tunic is constructed with no top-stitching (stitches visible on the exterior surface of fabric), except the collar and the edges on the double breast.
8. Outer edges on the double breast feature a visible seam approx. 0.12 inches (0.3 cm) from the edge, giving it the appearance of piping.
9. Fasteners on the uniform should not be visible.
10. Uniform is to be pressed and free of a wrinkled appearance.
11. Two (2) loops are on the sides of the tunic to hold belt in place. Loops are made from the same fabric as the tunic.
12. There is a seam running the entire circumference of the tunic, dividing it along a seam line which should be hidden by the uniform belt.
13. Two seams (one on each side) running on the back of the tunic from the middle of the shoulder seam (approx. where the yoke meets the shoulder) down to the bottom hem. Seams are slightly curved.
14. Tunic is secured on the right side by snaps or buttons, not Velcro.
15. A lining should be sewn in.
16. New Republic Patch (a “Rebel Starbird” in orange, surrounded by 15 6-spiked orange Stars, all surrounded by an orange circle, all on a blue base) is featured on the left shoulder.

Belt with Pouches

Required Details:
1. The belt is constructed from a white, non-textured leather.
2. Approximately 2 inches (5 cm) in width, up to 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) is acceptable.
3. There are no loops on the belt. Belt runs through belt loops on tunic.
4. Two large snaps or rivets, painted white, are visible approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the buckle.
5. The belt is worn with the snaps to the left of the buckle.
6. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal, or metal-looking material.
7. The buckle size is approximately 2 ⅛ inches (6.7 cm) high and 4 ⅛ inches (10.5 cm) wide with 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) radius rounded corners.
8. Belt edges are the same color as the belt front surface.
9. Two (2) pouches are worn on the belt, one on each side.
10. Pouches are approx. 4x4x1 inches (10x10x2.5 cm), made of white leather.
11. Pouch features an additional strap of white leather, approx. 2inches (5 cm) wide, running from the back up to the front side. Strap does not continue to the closing flap.
12. Pouch features a triangular closing flap, closed with a single silver snap.
13. Handcuff pouch is worn on the center back of the belt.
14. Handcuff pouch is half-round, approx. 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter, 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep, made of white leather.
15. Above the half round portion of the pouch are two triangular areas, ending in the belt loops.
16. A pair of handcuffs is worn in the pouch.

Required Details
1. Fabric is a medium-weight blue suiting material exactly matching the tunic. Cavalry Twill or a Gabardine style weave is most accurate.
2. Pants are straight leg in style, without cuffs, and rest on the top of the shoes without bunching or giving any sloppy appearance.
3. Pants are neatly pressed or ironed.
4. Pockets are acceptable, although they must not be visible with the tunic on.
Optional details:
1. Front of pants features piping in the same color as pants, shaped as an inverted “Y”, starting just above the knee. The upper line of piping runs all the way up the front of the pants.

Required Details
1. Boots are above ankle height and made of white leather.
2. Small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle.
3. Flat sole with a short heel.
4. No buckles or laces.
5. Jodhpur/Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style is acceptable.
6. Elvis or Mariachi boots are not allowed.
7. Boots have a black sole.
8. If necessary, white gaiters are worn to accommodate alien physiology.
