Costume Standards - Rebel Legion

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
CT-7567, nicknamed “Rex,” was a clone trooper captain during the Clone Wars, the galaxy-wide conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Rex was in command of Torrent Company, a unit of the famed 501st Legion in the Grand Army of the Republic. Rex served under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, and was a freethinking, tough, and aggressive trooper. Though loyal and committed to his duty and to his fellow clones, Rex proved capable of questioning his superiors and, under extreme circumstances, outright disobeying orders if he believed them to be wrong. Rex displayed a strong working relationship and a degree of friendship with Commander Cody.

Captain Rex (realistic)

Clone Commander, Bly (Animated)

CC-5052 was a clone marshal commander who served both the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire that followed. A clone of Jango Fett, CC-5052 was bred on Kamino, where he was trained as an Advanced Recon Commando by Alpha-17. Alpha-17 also gave CC-5052 the name “Bly,” which the clone commander himself adopted. Assigned to the 327th Star Corps, Bly worked with Jedi General Aayla Secura throughout the Clone Wars. Serving in campaigns on planets such as Quell, Maridun, Alzoc III, Florrum, and New Holstice, Bly worked with Secura to personally extract a valuable Scientific Instrument Package from Honoghr. During the mission, Bly encountered renegade Jedi Quinlan Vos, whom he deeply mistrusted. Clone Commander, Deviss

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
CT-65/91-6210, also known as “Deviss,” was a clone trooper captain who led K Company, a unit within Clone Commander Bly’s 327th Star Corps. In 22 BBY, Deviss served in the the first battle of the Clone Wars on the Outer Rim planet Geonosis. During the battle, Deviss risked his life to protect two injured soldiers from Confederate spider droids and received a medal after being rescued from behind enemy lines by Republic troops. He went on to fight in the Battle of Altyr V, after which he was promoted to commander for his actions. He also participated in a battle on Cato Neimoidia. In 19 BBY, Deviss was dispatched to support Jedi General Nem Bees on Orto. During a battle on the planet, the Commander received Order 66—which called for all clone troopers to execute their Jedi officers—and personally shot down Bees on the front lines.

Clone Officer

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Clone naval officers also known as clone navigators were clone troopers specifically trained in technical and tactical aspects of naval command.
Kaminoan scientists speculated that clones’ aptitude for space combat came from Jango Fett’s understanding of dogfight tactics, but even amongst his clones some had proved themselves capable of understanding and executing naval strategy to a greater degree than their brothers. Those clones received special naval training and many of them eventually became officers in the Republic Navy, although most of them were lower-tier commanders and aides to superior non-clone officers. Some of those officers believed that despite their training the clones were not suited for a role of an officer, which sometimes led to rising tensions aboard Galactic Republic ships. Although Grand Army of the Republic soldiers such as Rom Mohc had a high opinion of clones and relished working with them, others decided to avoid following Mohc’s kindness. As a result, these naval officers had tense relationships with officers.

Clone Pilots (Episode II)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Clone trooper pilots were special clone troopers bred in the Kamino cloning centers for the purpose of piloting craft of the Grand Army of the Republic and the early Galactic Empire.

They first appeared at the Battle of Geonosis,where they flew LAAT/i and LAAT/c gunships. Pilots also operated CR20 and CR25 troop carriers. In addition, they flew starfighters such as the V-19 Torrent, ARC-170, and Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing. The pilots who flew capital ships wore a special type of armor instead of the regular one, seen in the First Battle of Mon Calamari, during the Clone Wars. Pilots also knew how to operate all military land vehicles such as the AT-TEs.

Clone trooper pilots were special clone troopers bred in the Kamino cloning centers for the purpose of piloting craft of the Grand Army of the Republic and the early Galactic Empire.

Clone Trooper, Episode II Soldier (Phase I)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
The clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic are soldiers in the Star Wars universe, cloned from Jango Fett, a Mandalorian bounty hunter. They first appeared in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and returned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith where they were played primarily by Temuera Morrison. In the two Clone Wars animated TV shows, they are voiced by Andre Sogliuzzo and Dee Bradley Baker.

Clone Trooper, Episode III Soldier (Phase II)

Clone troopers comprised the bulk of the Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. They are depicted as the main part of the armed forces of the Galactic Republic in its final years, becoming one of the largest armies ever assembled, only surpassed by the Separatist Droid Army. Nearing the end of the clone wars, they were ordered to slay the Jedi. This famous Jedi purge was known as ‘Order 66’. After the Clone Wars, they served as the nucleus for the armed forces of the Galactic Empire, eventually becoming the Imperial Stormtroopers.

Clone Trooper, Galactic Marine

The Galactic Marines, originally known as the 21st Nova Corps of the 4th Sector Army, was an elite unit that was created as the Grand Army of the Republic diversified during the Clone Wars. Following the formation of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, they became known as Imperial Galactic Marines.

Clone Trooper, 327th Star Corps

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
The troops of the 327th Star Corps were distinguished by striped yellow markings running the length of their armor and, as a result of Clone Marshal Commander Bly’s ARC training, his troopers were allowed to don kamas and command pauldrons.

One unit within the 327th was K Company.

Clone Trooper Soldier, The Clone Wars (animated style)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Clone troopers were an army of identical, genetically-modified clones, created to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic during the full-scale intergalactic conflict that came to be known as the Clone Wars. Grown at an accelerated rate and raised in the laboratories and facilities of Kamino, the clone troopers were trained throughout the first ten years of their lives to become one of the most efficient military forces in galactic history. Bred for the sole purpose of combat, the clones were indoctrinated with unwavering obedience to the Galactic Republic and—more specifically—their Commander-in-Chief, the Supreme Chancellor.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Advanced Recon Commandos, also known as Advanced Recon Clone troopers or simply ARC troopers—were an elite variant of clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Although less numerous than the other clones, they were also among the most skilled soldiers in the galaxy.

ARC Null Class, Clone Trooper (realistic)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Numbering only six, the Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos were the first clones of Jango Fett created by the Kaminoan cloners, and the prototypes for the Grand Army of the Republic. They were deemed a failure by the Kaminoans and were not put into mass-production. However, Mandalorian mercenary Kal Skirata saved them from termination by the Kaminoans and later adopted all of them.

1971-2014

Craig was a highly valued and respected member of Tatooine since joining 2009, in his heart, he was a Rebel and enjoyed crafting and building Star Wars costumes and props and always willing to help anyone out even if he had never built it. Craig enjoyed traveling, well before joining RL, having travelled the east coast of Australia and working for many years on the Ski fields of Australia. He was a Baker and at all the major convention, he always brought a cake with some type of Star Wars decoration. Your friends and members of the Star Wars costuming community will miss you buddy!

Heidi was a founding member of Terrapin Base, established in her own livingroom in 2007. She was an energetic Jawa and always tried to make children smile.

Beru Lars (Episode IV)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Beru Whitesun Lars, the wife of Owen Lars, was a Tatooinian woman who raised Luke Skywalker after the fall of the Galactic Republic. Coming from a long line of moisture farmers, Beru Whitesun grew up near Mos Eisley on Tatooine. On a trip to Anchorhead, she met Owen Lars, the son of another moisture farmer, Cliegg Lars. Beru and Owen fell in love, and Beru later became part of the Lars family.

KOTOR I Jedi

Jedi wore this style of Jedi robes during the time of Knights of the Old Republic. Jedi seen wearing this style of robes include Master Zhar Lestin, Master Dorak, Master Vrook Lamar, Belaya, Juhani, and Jolee Bindo. The player character of Knights of the Old Republic may also wear this style of robe in one of the three standard colors.

Sabine Wren

Sabine Wren was a Mandalorian Human female weapons expert who was active during the reign of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine around five years before the Battle of Yavin. She was also a graffiti artist who customized her armor and tagged a new symbol every time the crew of the Ghost struck Imperial targets.

Mon Mothma (Episode VI)

Mon Mothma a native of Chandrila, was a female Human who served as an important political figure from the waning days of the Galactic Republic, one of the founders of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and the first Chief of State of the New Republic.

Cloud City Wing Guard

The Bespin Wing Guard, informally known as the Bespin Security Guard, Cloud City Wing Guard, or Cloud Police, whose members sometimes were called Bespin cops, was the primary security force of Cloud City on Bespin.

Kanan Jarrus

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Kanan Jarrus, born Caleb Dume, was a Human male Jedi Padawan who survived Order 66. Going into hiding, he forsook the Jedi ways for sometime, swapping his blue-bladed lightsaber for a blaster. Eventually, he would come to command the VCX-100 light freighter Ghost several years before the Battle of Yavin. While cocky and often sarcastic, Jarrus was eager to help out and fight the Galactic Empire. Five years before the Battle of Yavin, Jarrus met Ezra Bridger, a fourteen-year-old Force-sensitive Human, whom he decided to mentor.

Obi Wan Kenobi (Mandalorian Super Commando Armour)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Obi-Wan Kenobi was born in 57 BBY, the first son of a moderately wealthy family, and was taken to Coruscant to begin his Jedi training shortly thereafter. His homeworld was Stewjon, from which Kenobi had vague, pleasant memories of playing with his brother, Owen, in a green, grassy area. It is recorded that Kenobi might have occasionally visited Owen and the rest of the Kenobi family later in his life.

Lobot

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Lobot was a Human male who served as the chief administrative aide to Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian on Cloud City over the planet Bespin. His brain was connected to the city’s central computer which allowed him to communicate directly with the city’s computer network. In this capacity, he served as the city’s first and only computer-liaison officer.

General Jan Dodonna

Jan Dodonna was one of the first Generals in the Rebellion’s military. He was one of the first captains of a Star Destroyer in the days of the Galactic Republic, having served in both the Stark Hyperspace War and the Clone Wars. With plans brought to him by Princess Leia Organa which were downloaded from R2-D2, Dodonna helped plan the attack on the Death S

The Rebel Officer wears the brown shirt and pale jacket of a Starfighter Command officer. Unlike the Generals, his jacket lacks rank insignia or brown shoulder epaulettes.

Satele Shan

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Satele Shan was a human female who served as the Jedi Order’s Grand Master during the Cold War and the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The daughter of Jedi Knight Tasiele Shan, who was herself a descendant of the legendary Jedi Knights Revan and Bastila Shan, Satele was born on the planet Brentaal IV in the year 3699 BBY. Inheriting her family’s Force-sensitivity, she was inducted into the Jedi Order and became the Padawan of Jedi Master Ngani Zho, though she later traveled to the Sith homeworld of Korriban to study under the Zabrak Battlemaster Kao Cen Darach.

Jedi Temple Guards were part of the Jedi Order. They wore golden-brown robes with Jedi patterns on them to signify their loyalty to the order and carried special lightsaber pikes which produced yellow blades.

Hera Syndulla

Hera Syndulla was a Twi’lek female rebel who lived during the reign of the Galactic Empire. A capable pilot, Syndulla was the owner of the VCX-100 light freighter Ghost. She kept a secret blaster in her boot and was close with Kanan Jarrus, whom she convinced to become a rebel.

Marasiah Fel (White Dress)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Marasiah Fel, affectionately known as Sia, was a female Human princess and Imperial Knight who is the daughter of Emperor Roan Fel and Empress Elliah Fel until she became the first Empress of the Fel Empire during the end of the Second Imperial Civil War against the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Krayt and the One Sith. Through her father, Princess Fel was a great-granddaughter of Jagged Fel, the first Emperor of the Fel dynasty. She was also a distant cousin of Ania Solo. Like her father, Fel possessed astrong connection to the Force, thus enabling her to join the Knights of the Empire. The lover of fellow Imperial Knight Antares Draco, she was captured by the One Sith and taken to Korriban, where Draco nearly died in an attempt to rescue the woman he loved.

A human male, Malakili was born on Corellia, a planet of the Core Worldsbest known for its pirates, its fast starships, and skilled merchants. Since his most tender childhood, the young Malakili was fascinated by wild animals, and he wished he could dedicate his life to taking care of them.

A’Sharad Hett (Before / After Order 66)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Darth Krayt, born A’Sharad Hett, was a Human male who served as a Jedi Master in the waning days of the Galactic Republic. The son of legendary Jedi Knight Sharad Hett and his wife K’Sheek, both of whom lived among the Tusken Raiders of Tatooine, he eventually became the Padawan of Jedi Masters Ki-Adi-Mundi, and later, An’ya Kuro.

Mara Jade (Green dress)

Mara Jade Skywalker was, during different times in her life, an Emperor’s Hand, a smuggler, and later a Jedi Master who sat upon the Jedi High Council. She was raised as a servant to Emperor Palpatine and became a high-level Force-using operative. After Palpatine’s death, she received his last command, which was to kill Luke Skywalker; however, the death of her Master caused her to go rogue. Eventually she joined smuggler chief Talon Karrde, becoming one of his best smugglers and his second-in-command. During the predations of Grand Admiral Thrawn, she was forced to work with Skywalker, and developed a grudging respect for him. During the Galactic Civil War, Mara Jade proved herself skilled in a variety of fields; she was a good pilot and mechanic and trained in the use of both a blaster and hand-to-hand combat even without relying on the Force.

Rebel Captain (Star Wars Miniatures game)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Star Wars Miniatures is a 34mm scale collectible miniatures tabletop game based on the Star Wars fictional universe that was produced by Wizards of the Coast. The game was originally released in September 2004 and continued production until May 2010. Star Wars Miniatures players build point-based squads from one of ten different in-universe factions then conduct battles between those squads. The game mechanics are a simplified version of the d20 roleplaying game system. Multiple maps, scenarios, and set themes from different settings and time periods from within the Star Wars universe are available. The Rebel Captain was one of the featured characters of the game.

Yavin Communication Officer

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
The Yavin Communication Officers are communications and sensors experts. They serve at Massassi Station tracking the battle over the first Death Star. Del Goren is the most recognisable of the officers as it was he who warned the squad leaders of the approaching TIE fighters.

In Memoriam – Taggart Cline

Taggart Cline – March 18, 1974 – May 12, 2014

Taggart battled diabetes and several other health issues but was on the mend when he died suddenly of complications.

Graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1992 and from UW-Whitewater with an associate degree in computer graphics. Tag worked for Waukesha Head Start Program with pre-school children for two years. He worked most of his adult life in restaurant management. He was a member of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars costuming group that does charitable appearances for children.

In Memoriam – Justin Craig Manning

Justin “Phantom6” Manning
joined with the Force at the age of 43 on Sunday morning, January 17th after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a member of the Rebel Legion since 2003, and a two-term BCO of Alderaan Base. Though his battle required him to move to inactive status, he was never far away, and often attended events, his camera in hand. Always at his best when he was making sure others were having a great time, he went out of his way to ensure everyone felt welcome. Justin made friends wherever he went, and will be missed by everyone in the New England costuming community.

Leia Organa Solo (born Leia Amidala Skywalker) was, at various stages of her life, a politician, revolutionary, and Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order. The daughter of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo, Leia was the younger twin sister of Luke Skywalker, and, shortly after her birth, she became the adopted daughter of Bail Organa and Queen Breha of Alderaan, making her a Princess of Alderaan. An accomplished Senator, Leia Organa was most famous for her strong leadership during the Galactic Civil War and other subsequent galactic conflicts, making her one of the galaxy’s greatest heroes.

Admiral Gial Ackbar is a fictional character in the Star Wars saga. A member of the amphibious Mon Calamari species, Ackbar was the foremost military commander of the Rebel Alliance who led major combat operations against the Galactic Empire. Ackbar played a supporting role in the 1983 film Return of the Jedi, and later became a prominent character in the novels, comic books and other media of the Star Wars expanded universe.

Major Kalonia

Major Kalonia was a human female who served as a doctor with the Resistance. She was stationed on the Resistance base on D’Qar thirty years after the Battle of Endor.

Hoth Officer

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
An example of a Hoth Officer is Toryn Farr, who was a Human female who served as a communications officer in the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. Three years after the Battle of Yavin, she was stationed in Echo Base on the planet Hoth and coordinated the defense and evacuation of the planet from the control room. She was one of the last officers to leave Hoth, escaping on the final transport Bright Hope.

Sabine Wren (Rebels Season 2)

Juhani was a Cathar female and a Knight in the Jedi Order during the Jedi Civil War. Juhani grew up on the planet Taris after her family escaped the assault on their homeworld during the Mandalorian Wars. In addition experiencing great hardship and xenophobic discrimination, Juhani was sold into slavery after the death of her parents in order to pay off their debts. Juhani was eventually discovered to be Force-sensitive by the Jedi Knight Revan, and freed from her servitude. She then made her way to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine and was accepted for Jedi training by Jedi Master Quatra..

Ahsoka Tano (The Clone Wars Season 3-5)

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Ahsoka Tano, nicknamed Snips by her master, was a Togruta female from the planet Shili who trained as a Jedi apprentice during the Clone Wars, the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Tano was assigned to Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker by Jedi Grand Master Yoda, and she demonstrated an eagerness to prove herself worthy to be his apprentice. Tano was involved in the defeat of the Separatist army on the planet Christophsis and was important to Republic efforts during the Battle of Teth. In Memorial – Terry Cannon

Grampy-Wan (Terry Cannon) was a nine year veteran of the Rebel Legion, costuming as a Jedi, a Pilot, an RFT, and he was seen every year of Phoenix Comic Con playing poker for charity in his favorite costume, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
A polio survivor, he never let his disabilities get in the way of doing good, especially for charities involving sick children. He was a founding member of Mos Eisley Base, as well as a member of the RLSC, the KJO, and RAID. He left us for the galaxy far, far away on October 4, 2016 at the age of 62.
